Matt Hauser founded Twelve Eight Sound in 2017. Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and a Master of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts, where he studied World Music and ethnomusicology, focusing on the musical traditions of West Africa, India, and Indonesia. For 23 years he has honed his craft as a composer, sound designer and mixer in New York, composing scores and creating sound design for films and hundreds of commercials for brands ranging from Athleta to Xbox. Matt plays drums, percussion, and keyboards, and sings in the studio and with his band. He loves working with music and sound and solving tough scoring and mixing challenges.
